What's better than hanging out at Grandma's house with your cousins? Why, hanging off the porch, of course! This piece was inspired by an old black and white photo from a family photo album. The original is 12 x 16 created with color pencil, pastel and a touch of oil pastel as well.
I have always loved to draw ever since I was a little girl, sitting in the kitchen with my mom showing me how to draw a train by making squares and circles. I've come a long way since then, graduating from crayons to colored pencils, pastels, oil pastels and even digital art. My favorite subjects are the people and places around me. I love capturing the everyday moments that seem so simple yet say so much. When you look at my artwork, I hope you will ee the beauty in the everyday as well.
